Cursor vs Cody (Sourcegraph)

Updated 16 Oct 2026 · Facts from vendor pages · How we rank →

Who should pick which

For individuals this isn't a real choice any more. Sourcegraph stopped new Cody Free and Pro sign-ups in June 2025 and discontinued those plans, and its successor product Amp spun out as a separate company in December 2025. Pick Cursor if you're an individual or small team. Pick Cody only if your company already runs Sourcegraph Enterprise (from a $16K annual minimum) and wants AI grounded in Sourcegraph's code search across very large codebases.
